medienforum NRW
Since 1989 the LfM organizes the "medienforum NRW", one of the most important media conventions in Europe.
Media representatives from TV, film, radio, print and multimedia meet in Cologne.
Every year the latest trends in media are presented and the current
issues in media politics, media culture and media business are discussed. Moreover, a
number of companies and institutions offer their own events (Specials).

LfM Radio Awards
In order to improve the journalistic quality of local radio stations the LfM has, since 1992, yearly presented the "LfM Radio Awards" (LfM-Hörfunkpreis). Awards are given to: members of local radio stations, the peripheral programme producers radio NRW and Citizens' Radio for creativity and professional program planning.
